Job Description

As the Plant Operator you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the LPG plant, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain processing equipment including compressors, pumps, valves, and pipelines.
  • Monitor process parameters and perform regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment and adherence to safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and line ups for transferring of LPG to various tanks.
  • Offloading and loading of road tankers.
  • Blending LPG to prescribed vapour pressures.
  • Conduct safety inspections and participate in safety meetings.
  • Keep accurate records of plant operations, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections.
  • Respond to emergencies and minimize risks to personnel and the environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Chemical Operations or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a plant operator in the oil and gas industry, with specific experience in LPG processing preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing the handling and storage of hazardous materials, including LPG.
  • Willingness to work overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
