Job purpose Perform and oversee mechanical maintenance of all static and rotating equipment at Stations, Pressure Limiting Stations, Compressor Stations, pumps, Tanks and Block Valve Stations inclusive of different pipelines within the area of responsibility. Ensure maintenance on pipelines and other facilities are performed in accordance with established company procedures and recognized industry standards The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justification’s, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.
Main tasks and responsibilities Preform all mechanical activities role in the Tank Terminal and the Duqm petrochemical Terminal.Participate in Engineering, Procurement, Construction and commissioning and Operation phases of the TerminalMechanical Technician will be responsible to take job order for services, overhauls and maintenance activities of mechanical equipment to ensure maintenance activities are carried out as planned within set time, high quality and as per HES standards in order to maintain high reliability & availability of mechanical equipment’s.Identify spare parts required for overhauling and maintenance activities.Provide inputs during root cause analysis (RCA)Establish, implement and supervise all pipeline maintenance activities involving block valve and emergency shutdown valve facilities, launcher and receiver facilities, cathodic protection facilities, pipeline pig run operations, inspection operations, as well as any pipeline purging and testing operations, ensuring operations run within design parameters.Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical related faults within a reasonable time frame to ensure the maximum availability of equipment.Ensure all critical mechanical spare parts are identified, ordered and appropriately stocked in stores.Maintain inventory of spares for the year by using SAP software, and initiate procurement in order to ensure their availability during overhauls and emergency maintenance and thereby ensuring the quality and timely completion of work. To follow up spares availability and advise for proper follow up so that plant availability is always ensured. To inspect materials / spares newly purchased at stores.Coordinate and supervise the work of sub-contractor personnel working.Conduct regular inspections on pipelines and other mechanical equipment’s, preparing reports in accordance with inspection procedures.Ensure public safety by maintaining the functionality and integrity of pipeline facilities and other facilities.Prepare Permits to Work for all mechanical maintenance work and supervise sub-contractor activities to ensure adherence to the contract procedures.Ensure all necessary forms and documentation are completed prior to, during and following maintenance activities.Ensure that maintenance records, system drawings and maintenance databases are updated as necessary.Implement and adhere to company quality and HSE programs, policies and practices related to mechanical maintenance activities.Adherence to all statutory requirements pertaining to HSE, and the HSE standards and specifications of Terminal.Implementation of all quality and HSE requirements under your area of jurisdiction.Good understanding of the principles of mechanical engineering and their applications.Attend and participate in all engineering reviews and meetings.Attend workshops and site inspection of mechanical equipment as the plan permits.Attend FAT and SAT of mechanical equipment as required.Inspect project site to monitor HSE, progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and project standards.Related Assignments:Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Education requirements	Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Language requirements	Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) , Arabic – Native (desirable)
Background and experience	Competencies and skills
At least 5-7 years of experience related to static and rotating equipment maintenance within the oil and gas industry. A good knowledge of relevant E&P operations, HSE requirements, Oil/Gas process & systems procedures and practices..Competent in engineering principles and basic calculations Thorough knowledge and proven skills in the maintenance of pumps, compressors, pipelines, vessels and other types of related static and rotating equipment.Familiarity with budgeting, estimating and working with contracts and sub-contractors.	Self-motivated and is required to have strong leadership skills.Know and manage own emotions, strength and weaknessesFully computer literate, valid driving license, good communicator and organizerDemonstrate a proven and positive attitude towards Quality Programs and Health, Safety & Environmental Management.Demonstrated skills in computer software and hardware.Strong ability to mentor, train and build working relationships, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.Competent in computer applications for engineering
