LNG Gas Plant Operator
Primary Role
1. The primary role of the LNG Storage and Regasification Operator is to work as a DCS/SCADA Operator to manage and control all operating parameters within the Greenville LNG Storage and Regasification facility following all technical and safety procedures and standards in accordance with the Greenville LNG policies
2. Operate LNG Storage and Regasification equipment
3. Work in coordination with the Greenville LNG Storage and Regasification Logistics, Technical and Sales departments
4. Offload LNG from tanker trucks to storage trucks
5. Perform routine operations on the equipment such as inspection, start-up, shutdown (normal and emergency), on his/her shift; performs all work in accordance with sound safety practices and using appropriate safety devices and equipment.
6. Responsible for recording, compiling, reporting and documenting operating data and monitoring process indicators.
7. Observes pressure, temperature, level and flow gauges/meters to ensure standard operation.
8. Control equipment to regulate flow and pressure of gas to feedlines of customer’s equipment like electricity generators, boilers, furnaces and other such equipment.
9. Record instrument readings and operational changes in operating log
10. Submit daily records on facility operations.
11. Should be able to carry out minor maintenance work
Educational Level
OND/Trade Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
Work Experience
4 to 5 years operations experience in a Natural Gas Plant or in a Manufacturing Process Plant
Skills
• Good electrical/mechanical knowledge
• Proficiency in plant DCS operations
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of gas plant equipment
• Plant operation and maintenance
• Report writing skills
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
