Wellsite Operator – Contract – Eastern Queensland.
Our client an integrated oil and gas major is seeking a Wellsite Operator to join their team in Eastern Queensland supporting production and well availability.
You will be required to dedicate a strong focus on operational excellence and production optimisation initiatives within their geographic area of responsibility.
Maintain team culture committed to achieving safe and efficient production, while fulfilling compliance requirements with emissions inspections and environmental compliance.
Promote a reporting culture that identifies and reports on non-compliance, promote goal zero behaviors.
Interface:
- Upstream operations safety team.
- Operations production team.
Responsibilities:
Strong commitment to HSE and driving safety behaviors.
Capable of working alone with minimal supervision or assistance available.
Strong interpersonal skills in order to work well in a team.
Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to production operations.
Process Plant equipment operation.
Gas fired engines, hydraulic motors and pump operation.
Intermediate level aptitude in instrumentation and measuring principles.
Can demonstrable understanding of mechanical diagnostic principles.
Intermediate level computing skills in Microsoft Office (Maximo, SCADA, PI Process Book Desirable)
Willingness to learn and be open to change, promote continuous development within team
Results orientated with a high level of initiative. Self-starter with high level work ethic.
Ability to focus on key operational issues and prioritise accordingly to minimise risk and maximise production
Can show ability to exercise initiative and make sound judgement on site.
Competent in risk management and risk identification.

Cert III – Production Operations
Safe Systems of Work (Permit Holder)
This is an immediate requirement and is a local position based in the field Eastern Queensland – ideally you will have worked in the Queensland area in order to make a successful deployment with this client.
