We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East L.L.C for a
Fire and Gas Technician
Job Purpose:
This is an opportunity for you to be responsible for ensuring the performance and availability of Fire and Gas control systems meets the standards required to achieve safety, production and environmental.
Your main duties will be to:
Holding special responsibility for the maintenance of fire and gas detection and alarm systems
Carrying out planned maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system
Assisting with the coordination of spare parts requirements and the optimization of spares stack levels
Carrying out unplanned maintenance as required
Minimizing downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
Preparing technical reports as required
Fault finding and rectification for instrumentation systems
Carrying out isolations of instrument and control systems
Inspection and maintenance of instrumentation equipment in hazardous areas
Profile
Ideally, you should have HNC in Control/ Instrumentation Engineering Diploma In Electrical Engineering
Ideally, you should posses a recognized Instrument Apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme
Ideally, you should have 5 years of experience in a similar position in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry
Previous experience in sour gas plant is an advantage
Capable of giving strong attention to details and problem-solving skills
