Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for a Commissioning Site Leader for a potential project.
This position is based in Iraq.
Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined.
- Assist commissioning group and operations personnel assigned to the commissioning group at onshore and offshore locations; assist coordination and execution of the commissioning activities at onshore and offshore locations
- Assist coordination liaison for all interfaces on site and with all integrity groups to ensure to ensure the project requirements and performance standards are achieved
- Review Operational Test Procedures associated with the commissioning of instrument systems
- Experience of ESD & F&G cause and effect testing, oil & gas processing equipment and plants
- Assist with WHT / Main Complex commissioning interface
- Provide input for the most effective use of vendors and assistance during CMS population
- Execute tasks using CMS used on major projects ICAPS, GOC, CCMS ETC and review handover dossiers
- Witness factory acceptance test as necessary
- Provide input to the development of the detailed plan and planning systems including reporting of progress; ensure that changes implemented during the commissioning activities are approved and documented
- Provide review of TQ’s, EQ’s, and SI’s ensuring that they are included in the commissioning scope where applicable
- Provide assistance and guidance in the preparation of requisitions, technical specifications for materials, equipment and consumable required to perform the commissioning scope of work
- Participate in the hand over acceptance of systems / or sub-systems with the Mechanical Completion and Operations group
- Provide positive input in planning and scheduling the correct resource level; liaise with construction in providing and achieving the milestone objectives
Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of experience within the oil and gas industry
- Must have held a Lead / Senior Commissioning Engineer for at least 7 years
- Any relevant degree would be acceptable
- Must have practical hands-on field experience during all stages of project life construction, commissioning & start up, and be able to communicate with team leaders of a multi-discipline team
- Familiar with gas turbines and gas compressor controls
- Be a team player who can provide valuable input during both planning and execution phase
- Must have working knowledge and understanding of ICSS control systems.
